If you haven’t visit St. Joe and Silver Beach Pizza, then you’re in for a treat. Open year around, you’ll enjoy some of the best food at great prices on the lakeshore. This wonderful establishment resides in an operational Amtrak depot. Trains still stop and go every day right here.
Tucked behind the hills of the city and the sandy shores of Lake Michigan, you’ll discover a hidden gem of food and drinks.
The menu at Silver Beach Pizza is simple, but delicious. There are pizzas, garlic knots, salads, and some appetizers like wings and fried ravioli. They also offer a few specialty pizzas, like the Buffalo Chicken Pizza or their popular A&A (anchovy & artichoke) Pizza.

If you love feta, onions and fresh garlic, then your taste buds will fall head over heels in love with this amazing appetizer. One of my favorite starters, you should begin each experience at Silver Beach Pizza with this one.
As soon as it arrives at your table, your eyes will fall in love long before your break of a piece.
Not only is it appealing, the Greek Bruschetta tastes as good as it looks. The flavors come in an array of flavors like a Syrtos dance, but the dance is a combination of flavors in your mouth.
It’s hard to believe that a pizza place can turn out an appetizer this appealing.
Pick this one when you’re in town, and you will never be disappointed.
9. Cheryl’s Salad
When you’re in the mood for a salad, you’ll love this mixture of blue cheese crumbles, dried cranberries and apple slices. This salad dazzles and amazes your eyes and palate with a beautiful array of flavors and colors.
And when the acid of the house made vinaigrette touches your lips, you’ll quickly realize why I chose this as the go-to salad.
Silver Beach Pizza over delivers with this one and I am sure most of your party will want to sample your appealing starter.
8. Jerk Chicken Po’ Boy
What? Are you kidding me. This sandwich immediately triggers memories of Ocho Rio, Jamaica and their unique blend of Jamaican spices. And when you couple that with pesto and pineapple. You just hit a home run for your lunch or dinner.
The accompanying fries will delight and fill your stomach for just $10.
Seriously, this is a damn find sandwich and one you will want to try over and over again.
7. Kids Spaghetti
Now let’s not forget about bringing the littles to Silver Beach Pizza. You’ll kids will love the selection, but what we noticed that our kids always gravitate toward the spaghetti. Perfectly cooked, and with just enough sauce to zing them back into happiness. Even the pickiest of eaters will enjoy and get a belly full when they choose.

Giving a nod to the local appliance headquarters. This one piles on so much goodness, you’ll find it hard to pass up. Loaded up like a beach bag, this one comes with ham, pepperoni, sausage, peppers and so much more.
This one is one of the “twisted” ones with a carousel of flavors. When you want to enjoy a variety of palate pleasing tastes, then go for the Whirlpool Wonder, you will not be disappointed.
5. The Garlic Greek
You’re kidding me right? This savory pizza pie comes loaded up with pepperoni and then they twist your sense and load it up with tangy garlic and red pepper to ignite your taste buds. Please, don’t miss out on this one, You’ll be surprised as a fart in church when you dig into this unique and one of a kind pizza pie.
4. The Hawaiin
Once again, this proves you can put pineapple and ham on a pizza and delight the masses. My personal favorite since it delivers the sweetness and tang of the pineapple, and then saltiness of the ham and sauce. But what really packs a punch and brings it home are the fresh cut white onions. Wow! Talk about a flavor explosion. This has always been my favorite and go to on a hot summer day. Especially paired with one of the local craft brews.
3. Meat Mania
Where’s my meat lovers at? Don’t be shy, raise your hand and raise the roof of the place with pizza. If you like ham, pepperoni, sausage, meatball and oh my goodness they didn’t? WHAT? They did, they even added bacon on this bad boy. It doesn’t matter if you come in wearing a two foot beard and flannel, or you roll in like Marilyn Monroe. This meat lovers and a cold beer will make you happier than day at the beach on a 78 degree day. Don’t miss Meat Mania, you’ll have entree envy for sure.
2. The Palladium
This one continues to please with four different cheeses, perfectly blended to bring an amusement ride to your palate. Thickly coated with provolone, mozzarella, colby jack and everyone favorite parmesan, Hey! Hey! Hey! Come and get some. This one delights the crown and will make you come back begging for more. And why not, it’s loaded up with salty goodness.

Topping off the top 10 pizzas at Sliver Beach Pizaa is the heavyweight champion of the world, UNDERTOW! Loaded up with bacon, sausage, pepperoni and my favorite garlic, this one delivers again and again. It’s like the perfect combination of spices, crust and meat. And you can never go wrong with this one. Pair this with a summer wine or choose a soft Cabernet in the winter. You just can’t go wrong with this one and that’s why the Undertow made to number one on our list.
Well folks, if you’re traveling near the lakeshore and close to St. Joe, then please stop on in and enjoy Silver Beach Pizza, the pizzas are on the moderate side of cost, but you get what you pay for here. And you will not be disappointed no matter what the weather conditions outside. Because the wait staff is warm and friendly.
